I was born in 1965 in Wusasa area of Zaria in Kaduna State of Nigeria. I started Primary School in the then St. Mary Primary School Samara in Zaria area in the present Kaduna state, I later went to Stella Maris primary school in Port Harcourt before returning to Saint Mary School to round up my primary education in 1976.I then proceeded to commonwealth college of commerce in Jos, Plateau state from 1976-1981 where I obtained my West Africa School Certificate.
In furtherance of my education, I went to the school of Basic Studies (SBS) Makurdi, Benue State, where I obtained the Interim and Joint Matriculation Board examination certificate from 1981-1983 and proceeded to the Bayero University, Kano for a Bachelor Degree in Political Science.
On completion of my University education, I went for the mandatory National Youth Service’s Corps where I served in the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
After this, I ventured into the Journalism profession where I rose from a street reporter to Bureau chief of Daily Times, Monitor Newspapers, The reporter Newspapers and This Day Newspapers in Kaduna and Abuja respectively. During my Journalism career I ventured into Unionism where I served as a secretary of the Kaduna Council of NUJ for Ten (10) years before joining the NHIS IN 2001.
I was posted to the Media Division and later to Jos area office in 2002-2004 before returning to the NHIS Headquarters to team up with Media Division where I served for fourteen (14) years of my stay in the NHIS.
I was the head of media for some time, before I was redeployed to the Benue State office as two time coordinator and as well as coordinator of the FCT office,
Presently I am the General Manager of the Marketing Department of NHIS.
